El Gimnasio Campestre La Fontana tuvo la oportunidad de participar en Expociencias, la feria con más trayectoria en ciencia, tecnología e innovación que tiene actualmente Colombia, organizado por AvanCiencia y Minciencias. Esta versión de Expociencias tuvo lugar en Ibagué el 20, 21 y 22 de abril, siendo la primera vez que se realiza en una ciudad diferente a Bogotá.
Con más de 15.000 visitantes los expositores y proyectos con temáticas como A.) medio ambiente, B.) biología, C.) la tierra y el espacio, D.) ciencias sociales, cultura y comportamiento, E.) física y matemáticas, F.) ingeniería y tecnología, G.) química, H.) salud, medicina y covid.
Los estudiantes presentaron los proyectos STEM, desarrollados el año pasado en la institución, durante los tres días de exposición siendo muy bien recibidos. Los estudiantes demostraron el alto nivel y compromiso que tiene el Gimnasio Campestre La Fontana en temas de ciencia, tecnología, innovación e investigación frente a la comunidad científica nacional.
Los estudiantes de grado 2º, Matías Jiménez Humanez, María Guadalupe Carrascal Laverde y María Paz Fonseca Avendaño expusieron su proyecto de modelado e impresión 3D titulado Tools for school.
Los estudiantes de grado 9º, Juana Valentina Gartner Baquero y Elizabeth Barbosa Delgado expusieron su proyecto animatrónico titulado de Rocket Monkey.
Los estudiantes de grado 10º, Omar Andrés Gutiérrez Rojas y Santiago Cabrejo Sánchez expusieron su proyecto sobre sensores BasketSensor. Sharith Manuela Cárdenas Bohórquez y Mariana Valentina Escobar Garay con el proyecto titulado Taekosensor. Gabriela Pinzón Ortiz, Isabella Herrera Sanabria con el proyecto titulado Sensores en el tenis.
Sin lugar a dudas, la ciencia, la tecnología y la innovación son focos de aprendizaje en nuestra institución. Está en nosotros como institución fortalecer y seguir brindando los espacios necesarios para el desarrollo integral de nuestros estudiantes.
