El 8 de marzo, con gran orgullo y alegría los estudiantes de grado 6° rindieron homenaje al pabellón
nacional conmemorando el Día internacional de la mujer y exaltando el valor del Liderazgo. En este acto, izaron bandera las mujeres líderes de cada grado, los estudiantes de grado sexto realizaron una breve reflexión sobre el valor del liderazgo y la presentación del video “Soy valiosa, soy mujer” en el cual las niñas resaltaron los valores presentes en las mujeres.
Adicionalmente, se presentaron videos relacionados con el día internacional de la mujer, ya que desde 1977 la Asamblea General de la ONU proclamó el 8 de marzo como Día Internacional por los Derechos de la Mujer y la Paz Internacional. Así mismo, se presentaron historias de mujeres científicas, resaltando la importancia de motivar a las mujeres desde niñas a inclinarse por la ciencia y la tecnología, campo hasta ahora, liderado por los hombres.
Finalmente, este día fueron homenajeadas las niñas y jóvenes estudiantes, docentes y demás personal femenino del Gimnasio Campestre La Fontana con una emotiva serenata.
