The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Akshay Kumar. The story is about the ordinary office workers, who clash with the rich and powerful in the office, and form a support group to get out of the office and live their own lives. The film was released on 15 August 2002. Contents Plot Suhail Khan comes to a small town in India, called Ludhiana, in which he starts filming a film called Maine Dil Tujhko Diya. The film focuses on the very common scenario of two equally qualified professionals battling over a job, neither being satisfied with the decision. The film focuses on this scenario in a satirical way, using some elaborate yet slightly exaggerated methods to get this job over the other, at the cost of putting one's own happiness in danger. The film starts with a simple ceremony being held for Manjit (Shah Rukh Khan) and Komal (Aishwarya Rai) to get married, but the ceremony is a fraud, because there is no bride and groom. The film ends with the two coming to grips with the reality of their situation and coming to terms with their lives, albeit not quite yet. The film opens with Manjit, an office boy, being interviewed to be a trainee by a company called TeckTrax. The interviewer is a manager, Gurdeep Khurana. Manjit does not like this, because Gurdeep has no respect for him, and because of his own fear of heights, as he tried to convince Manjit before this interview, he would break his bones. The interview is in the second floor of the TeckTrax building. Manjit then goes downstairs and meets Komal, a woman who is a secretary there. He confesses his love to Komal, and she reciprocates. The interview ends with Manjit saying he would go back to his village and not bother about the interview anymore. The next day, Manjit returns to the TeckTrax office, but is very nervous about going back to the interview. Gurdeep tells him to get ready for the final interview, and he calls Manjit's father (Gulshan Grover) and tells him about his good luck. Manjit goes to the interview, where Komal tells him that they will choose him as a trainee, but Manjit is hesitant to go as he remembers his interview from the day before.
